Its official…The Tour de France, Grand Depart 2014 is coming to Yorkshire and will be passing close to Burnsall on the 5th July 2014.
Stage 1 will start in Leeds passing through Harewood, Otley, Ilkley, Skipton, Kettlewell, Aysgarth, Hawes, Reeth, Leyburn, Ripon and Harrogate.
The route will pass through Threshfield which is a 3 mile walk from Burnsall placing us at the heart of the action.
A cycling enthusiast or not this will be the largest sporting event to have ever come to Yorkshire, in fact the world’s biggest cycling race. An unrivalled atmosphere set amongst some of the finest scenery.
Over the weekend the ‘Lion’ will be hosting French themed events in celebration of this sporting spectacle.
