Celebration/Parties

The ‘Lion’ is a venue for all celebrations, whether it be a milestone birthday or anniversary, christening or retirement!

Formal or informal we are able to offer something for everyone, our function rooms are floored in oak, oak tables, upholstered chairs, mullioned windows, log burner and fab views of the River Wharfe. Private bar area, toilets and disabled access.

Seating to a maximum capacity of 120 persons or standing to 170 persons, and use of our Riverside terrace (covered with a canopy just in case the great British weather doesn’t hold out!!)

Room hire rates include the setting up of the tables to the customers instructions, all glass, linen and crockery.

We are able to provide information for discos, casino’s, flowers, cakes, chocolate fountains, live music, entertainers etc..

Celebration and Party Menus:

We are able to offer a menu choice within courses subject to the following conditions

All menu choices must be agreed with us before they are sent to your guests
A maximum of 3 choices per course for celebrations of up to 50 pers, above 60 pers a maximum of 2 choices per course
Within a 3 choice menu only one roast meat or fowl may be taken
All menu choices to be given to us three weeks prior to your celebration
An invoice will then be raised for the balance, which must be paid 7 days prior to your celebration
The Terrace, Riverside and Garden Rooms will accommodate up to approx 125 pers, however it should be noted that this number will be reduced if a Buffet Menu is chosen, to allow room for the Buffet Tables.
