Enjoy a Festive Christmas or New Year break at The Red Lion and Manor House which is situated on the banks of the River Wharfe in one of the loveliest villages in the Yorkshire Dales.

This year we are offering 2 alternatives, allowing you to have more flexibility with your Christmas break:
Arrive from 3pm on Christmas Eve with afternoon tea by the fire from 4pm. The evening kicks off with champagne, canapés and entertainment from the ‘Penny plain Theatre’ from 7pm in our bar before our superb Christmas Eve Dinner; Midnight Mass is celebrated at our Village Church of St Wilfred’s, many of our guests join us and the rest of the village for this special start to Christmas.
Our Christmas Day Lunch is served in the restaurant from 12 o’clock, after which you may perhaps enjoy a walk by the river before our cold buffet supper in the evening, rounding off the Christmas Day celebrations.
Boxing day is at your leisure, whether that’s sat by the fire reading or exploring the Yorkshire Dales (packed lunches can be arranged at £9.50 a head) Afternoon Tea will be served from 4pm in the sitting room. Champagne and Canapés will again be served before you enjoy your Boxing Day Dinner in the restaurant. Depart after breakfast on the 27th.
Prices are from £420.00 standard - £440.00 superior DBB per person in the Red Lion, if you wish to include the 22nd and 23rd of December in your Christmas break then the rate will be from £100.00 to £130.00 DBB per person per night.
The Manor House is available on a Bed and Breakfast basis ranging from £85 - £107 a night B&B for 2 pers.
You are obliged to take Christmas day Lunch which is served at the ‘Lion’ as part of the package at an additional cost £72.50 a head.
You are able to reserve a table at the Red Lion for any additional lunches, dinners or arrange a packed lunch during your stay as required, which can be added to your room account allowing you maximum flexibility.
This year we are offering ‘Two’ packages over New Year, allowing you more flexibility
We shall be celebrating New Year with our three day break starting from the 30th of December, arriving to check in from 3pm. Then a light afternoon tea will be served in the sitting room in front of the fire from 4pm onwards, dinner is served in the Restaurant from 7pm.
New Years eve day is at your leisure, afternoon tea in the lounge from 4pm then New Years evening kicks off with a champagne and canapés reception in the bar; Dinner is served from 8.00pm and is a leisurely four course meal in the restaurant. You will be entertained after dinner in our Riverside room by a live band. Outside to the riverbank at midnight for a fabulous firework display with Burnsall Fell as the backdrop!!
New years day morning another hearty breakfast, then maybe an invigorating walk along the river bank. On return we will again be serving afternoon tea in the sitting room. Meet in the bar for Champers and Canapés followed by another fine meal in the restaurant. Breakfast as usual on the 2nd January then check out at 10.30am, hopefully fully refreshed and ready to tackle 2010.
Red Lion prices are from £420 per person in a Standard room rising to £445 in a Superior room.
We are offering the Manor House on a bed and breakfast basis (The New Years Eve meal and celebrations must be taken at an additional cost of £73.00 per head).
Room rates are from £85 to £107.00 a night Bed and breakfast.
