Our Head Chef and son-in-law Olivier deserves a special mention. Along with a talented and enthusiastic kitchen brigade his combination of individuality and skill has ensured retention of our AA Rosette.

Imaginative, seasonally changing menus, using only the finest of ingredients have given The Red Lion a 'dining room with a difference'.

An outstanding wine list with a wide choice from both the Old and New Worlds complements the excellent food.

We have a large specials board featuring fresh fish, seafood, game and meats.

Please note that our specials and restaurant menu change on a weekly basis, therefore the menus are a sample only. If you want an up to date menu please email requesting a current menu

We are able to offer a menu choice within courses subject to the following conditions

  • All menu choices must be agreed with us before they are sent to your guests
  • A maximum of 3 choices per course for weddings of up to 50 pers, above 60 pers a maximum of 2 choices per course
  • Within a 3 choice menu only one roast meat or fowl may be taken
  • All menu choices to be given to us three weeks prior to your wedding
  • An invoice will then be raised for the balance, which must be paid 7 days prior to your wedding
  • The Terrace, Riverside and Garden Rooms will accommodate up to approx 125 pers, however it should be noted that this number will be reduced if a Buffet Menu is chosen, to allow room for the Buffet Tables.
